Capital Works

Capital Works was a fintech platform for private capital transaction management, built to create a marketplace that brings together entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and limited partners to help them find new opportunities and get deals done. The private capital marketplace connected private companies, investors, and buyers across a wide range of industries and investment themes, with a stated mission of transforming private capital through a marketplace platform.

In its first month of operations, the team used sales pipeline management practices to identify the largest potential licensees and a potential acquirer for the platform. A licensing discussion with a large global bank progressed into structured design sessions in which the acquirer informed the features it wanted, resulting in a designed, build-to-suit exit that returned 5x to seed investors within 19 months of launch. Capital Works is an exited Eagle Venture Fund portfolio company, and its team went on to launch Eagle Venture Lab.
