VeroSkills

Using AI to solve blue collar job training and placement, especially for refugees and vulnerable populations.

VeroSkills is a refugee workforce platform that retrains individuals globally for careers in AI, automation, and software engineering, providing mentoring and opportunities for underprivileged students. The company flipped the usual education business model so that at-risk participants do not have to pay for their training, and graduates are mentored by top software developers. According to Eagle Venture Fund's company profile, about 300 refugees have been trained to date, with 800 projected to be trained this year, and more than 70,000 refugee-exclusive jobs are ready for graduates.

The profile reports an average income increase of $40,000 after training, a 2.6x average increase in earnings. VeroSkills also offers career pathways inside manufacturing companies; founder and CEO Daniel Walsh describes closing $2.2 million in new annual recurring revenue from 23 US manufacturers representing 52 individual locations.
